Oil & Gas Pipeline

Onshore pipeline construction from right-of-way to commissioning.

Overview

Complete mainline construction

We build onshore oil and gas pipelines, including large-diameter transmission lines, using our own crews and equipment spreads.

  • Right-of-way clearing, grading and access roads
  • Pipe hauling, stringing and cold bending
  • Mechanized and manual welding and NDT
  • Weld repairs, field-joint coating and holiday testing
  • Trenching, lowering-in and backfill
  • Road, river and wetland crossings
  • Hydrostatic testing, drying and reinstatement
How We Build

The construction spread

Clearing and grading equipment
01

Prepare

Survey, clearing, grading and access.

Weld shacks on side-boom tractors over the pipe string
02

Weld

Root, hot, fill and cap passes, then NDT and coating.

Sidebooms lowering the pipe string into the trench
03

Install

Trench, lower-in, tie-in and backfill.

Hydrotest header and pump, with the right-of-way reinstated
04

Test & Restore

Hydrotest, cleanup and reinstatement.

Right-of-way clearing and access roads: survey and staking, clearing, topsoil stripping, grading, erosion control, access roads, temporary bridges, pipe haul, stringing and field bending
The firing line: joint preparation, root, hot pass, fill and cap stations, visual check, AUT, repair, field-joint coating and holiday test
Trenching, lowering-in and reinstatement: trenching, rock trenching, dewatering, bedding, lowering-in, padding, backfill, topsoil replacement, reinstatement and pipeline markers
